Now entering my 4th semester teaching at Machon Lander I have had the opportunity to teach some wonderful students, who are interested in new directions and expanding their horizons. The satisfaction that my students feel when all the pieces come together, connecting what they see every day online to what they are learning in class makes it all worthwhile. I have been a web designer for the past 12 years both here and in the United States and have found that Lander is a wonderful place to help those who are looking for a career change or to just enhance their own skills.
Our web design course could be called a hands on survey, as it takes you through the entire web process. From learning the fundamentals ground up of how to conceptualize and design your website in Photoshop to developing it in Dreamweaver and finally publishing it live to the world wide web, we go through each step together. Along the way we learn much about the industry, including things you normally won’t find in the classroom, such as business and technical trends, sources of inspiration and what its like being a freelancer, along with countless other topics that flow from our hands-on class time and relaxed discussions.
This course is great for anyone interested in learning web design for personal or professional reasons. Whether you are looking to develop websites for a living, want learn how to maintain your existing site yourself or simply want to learn how to it all works, this class will help you achieve your goals.
Looking forward to greeting you in the classroom and helping you to take the next steps in your education.
