Cost: 8800 ₪ + 200 ₪ Non refundable Registration Fee.
Payment by Cash, Check or Credit Card. All fees must be paid up to one week before the course starts. If paying by Credit Card, tuition may be paid in installments of no less than 250 ₪ /mo for a maximum of 10 months. If paying by check, checks must be paid in advance and can be post dated until the course completion date. Cash – tuition must be paid in full before the course begins. Course Description:
All acquired skills of the Basic Graphic Design will be taken into deeper practice with the second course. This course will be more project orientated. We will work out assignments in the different areas of graphic design (Brochure-Magazine Layout, Posterdesign etc), exploring more details and tricks of the individual programs.
We will be working in a group atmosphere, have common brainstorming, and by having more practice, will have the chance to gain stronger emphasis on our skills than in the first semester.
Besides a basic repetition of all acquired skills and knowledge of the first semester, the following topics will further be discussed in the second semester:
Structure and content of classes
Graphic & Design
• Typography Fine tuned!
A deeper look into the sensitivities of typography, the difficulties of how to properly mix types and type classifications.
• Creativity Techniques
Exploring the methods that encourage original thoughts and divergent
thinking, relevant for everybody working creatively.
• Gestalts psychology for Designers
• Overview about basic illustration and artistic techniques that are used
in modern Graphic Design:
– Markers and Pencils and other drawing tools
– Basics about light and shadow
– Using Photoshop/Illustrator for more detailed illustrations
• Overview of Design and Art History
In this context each student will write a short paper about a given
topic/time in design and art history.

Also here, we will go through a brief repetition of the 1st semester and the basics about printing, printing finishing procedures and further address the following issues:
• How to calculate design?
Basic calculations, working out calculation examples for the different areas
of design, licensing, and copyright.
• How to write briefings and prepare proper customer presentations?
Each student should prepare a well worked out presentation to present to the class for given assignment.
