Cost: 3400 ₪ + 200 ₪ Non refundable Registration Fee.
Payment by Cash, Check or Credit Card. All fees must be paid up to one week before the course starts. If paying by Credit Card, tuition may be paid in installments of no less than 250 ₪ /mo for a maximum of 10 months. If paying by check, checks must be paid in advance and can be post dated until the course completion date. Cash – tuition must be paid in full before the course begins. I. COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course is designed for students who wish to be involved with the architectural and interior design fields and for those interested in computer aided design. Students will be introduced to both traditional and computer aided drafting skills. This course will provide the student with an appreciation of the capabilities and limitations of the AutoCAD program. The aim of AutoCAD is to introduce students to basic information, skills, and concepts related to drafting and design. Special attention is given to: sketching, measurement, room planning, auxiliary views, working drawings, sectional views along with AutoCAD tools and commands. Course topics include basic AutoCad Level I and some Level II commands and functions as well as practical applications.
II. COURSE COMPETENCIES
- Starting computer and opening ACAD
- Use and construct icons for drawing in ACAD
- Save, edit and start new drawings
- Manage drawing using layers, color and linetypes
- Make basic Geometric shapes
- Complete Basic CAD drawings, with borders, text and dimensions
- Use Paper Space, and Model space
- Use and edit TEXT and TEXT styles
- Edit drawings with ERASE, OOPS, COPY, EXTEND, TRIM, MIRROR,
- UNDO REDO and MOVE commands
- USE Array, Modify and Hatch
- Use Grips, GRID, OSNAP, and Functions keys
- Plot drawings in A, B, C, and D sizes to correct scales
- Insert Blocks, Files and Raster images into drawings
- Create Blocks, Bitmaps and Wblocks
- Use Break, Chamfer, Fillet, Measure, Divide, Rotate, Scale, Lengthen and
- Explode commands
- Create, Edit and use Attributes

Yael Steinberger, born in Israel to American parents who made Aliyah. She is Married to Amotz, a CPA, and mother to Omer, Ella and Yair. An Interior Designer with a P.Eng in Industrial Design, she has experience in designing homes for both Hebrew and English speaking families. By utilizing her familiarity with trends and ideas from abroad and accommodating and translating them to homes in Israel, she is able to design homes for all different types of people and styles throughout Israel. Yael, is a long time volunteer in her city, at the Jewish Agency Partnership 2000 Modi’in-Rochester.
